Craft and Drama

Once a week at Fabrik HQ we like to spend a few minutes over a cup of tea looking at the new websites that our community have built and released, and this week we came across Jonathan Pearson's portfolio.

Jonathan's recent Pilion Trust campaign 'Fuck The Poor' has won three Silver and one Bronze Cannes Lions awards. The shocking stunt shows the difficulties charities have when it comes to getting people to donate; people care, but just not enough.

He's currently a commercials director based in London signed to Unit9, but his journey began at film school in the States. After working in various roles across the TV industry he began experimenting with music videos and shorts, having his films screened around the world and winning various awards along the way. His work has gone on to win him an award for ‘Best New Director’ at the Midsummers and has featured in the Cannes Young Directors showcase. In 2013 he received critical acclaim for Channel 4’s ‘Run’, a television drama he created and shot a self-funded pilot for.

Very much one to watch
