Google honors SOPHIE with a Doodle on her birthday.

To commemorate what would have been SOPHIE’s birthday on September 17, Google paid tribute to the trailblazing pop producer with a special Google Doodle.

The search engine’s homepage was transformed with a striking neon rainbow design, featuring an illustration of SOPHIE in place of the first ‘O’ in the iconic Google logo. Accompanying the Doodle was a short animated video titled Celebrating Sophie Xeon, which portrays SOPHIE morphing into various forms, including a cloud and a heart, before concluding with her playing the Monomachine—an instrument central to her distinct hyperpop sound. The video is soundtracked by her track Immaterial, from her debut and only album released during her lifetime, OIL OF EVERY PEARL’S UN-INSIDES.
