A24 is moving forward with a feature-length adaptation of the viral YouTube horror series The Backrooms, directed by its creator, 19-year-old Kane Parsons, making him the youngest director in the studio’s history. The screenplay is by Roberto Patino, and the cast includes Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve, with production set to begin in summer 2025.

James Kerwin’s Time Suspended (2025) presents four 4×5 photographic frames capturing an abandoned beach building along Havana’s coast at dusk.
